The AWHA Referral Program

Multiple law firms are conducting national ad campaigns seeking to identify FLSA and state related claims. These campaigns generate a large volume of cases that are not economically feasible to prosecute remotely. We have contracted with these firms to send AWHA members these cases based upon the area codes in which members identify they are willing and able to accept cases. In the case of multiple members residing in the same area code, the referrals will be rotated based on the order the members joined the AWHA. For example, 4 referrals are received for a given area code. Attorney A joined the AWHA September 5, 2009; Attorney B joined October 2, 2009; and Attorney C joined November 8, 2009. The first referral received for that area code would go to Attorney A, the second referral received would go to Attorney B and the third referral received would go to Attorney C. The process then starts again with the fourth referral received going to Attorney A.

There will be a 15% referral fee based on gross fees received by the referring member on the referred case. Referral fees will be tracked and recovered by the AWHA and distributed to the advertising firms. By joining the AWHA and accepting AWHA referrals, you agree to the 15% referral fee and you will submit it timely upon receiving your fees from the case. The membership dues are only $250 and each year the dues will be adjusted based on the number of referrals actually received the previous year.
